715 4th Street - Historic Residential Renovation
West Palm Beach, FL
RESIDENTIAL
“In preserving historic residences, we do more than protect architecture—we safeguard the quiet memory of daily life, of lived experience etched into every stair and sill.”
We undertook a historic renovation of the single-family residence at 715 4th Street in West Palm Beach’s older urban neighborhoods. Following our signature approach, we were able to honor the original architectural fabric—such as period-appropriate TYPOLOGY and exterior detailing—while introducing modern upgrades like improved energy performance and interior spatial flow, all in alignment with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards.
Like our other residential restorations, the 715 4th Street renovation balances preservation and usability—preserving external character, massing, and historic authenticity, while discreetly integrating contemporary amenities for comfort and sustainability. This project sits within the broader historic-preservation framework of West Palm Beach, where homeowner-led renovations in designated districts are supported through city review processes that encourage culturally sensitive modernization.
